JCOMAL completes move to WJS/Janeway: online submission, peer review and production now live
As of today, the Journal of Science Communication América Latina (JCOMAL) has fully activated its new editorial workflow on WJS — the customised Janeway instance developed by SISSA Medialab. The newly released modules for submission, peer review and production join the article-publication pages that have been online since early 2024, giving authors, reviewers and editors a single, streamlined environment from draft to final PDF.
This roll-out marks the second SISSA Medialab title to run end-to-end on Janeway, following JCOM’s migration earlier this year.
The upgrade is part of SISSA Medialab’s broader plan to bring all its journals onto Janeway, ensuring an open-source, modular and scalable infrastructure that meets the evolving standards of scholarly communication.
