JCOM América Latina is a diamond-open-access journal fully funded and published by Sissa Medialab s.r.l.
As of January 2026, contributions are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0 International) licence. Previous publications, on the other hand, are available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) licence.
Authors retain the right to distribute their Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) via an institutional and/or subject repository under the same licence for release staring from the date of publication.
The accepted manuscript (also known as postprint) is the version of the work that has been accepted by the Journal following peer review and includes all amendments made during that process, but which has not yet been branded or typeset in any way.
Copyright is retained by the authors by default.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned and in any case, JCOM authors are expected to have read and accepted the ethical policy described on the Journal web site.
